Runes and Ordinals are closely related because they were both established by Casey Rodarmor, who is also the author of the Ordinals Protocol on Bitcoin. Top projects including Runestone, RSIC Metaprotocol, BTC Machine, PUPS, RunesTerminal are preparing to introduce Runes tokens and are straddling the boundary between Ordinals and Runes.
