Cathie Wood, CEO and CIO of Ark Invest, was the laughingstock of the traditional finance world when her ARKK Invest Fund was down to about $29 per share. She was even considered “the kiss of death.”

Cathie stood by her convictions and Coinbase has since rebounded drastically, despite the naysayers. Cathie has the same sentiment for Bitcoin. In an interview with YCharts, Cathie Wood discussed her investing strategy and outlook, particularly Bitcoin and AI. While many investing algorithms and shorter-term thinkers look at a company's run-rate, Cathie is looking at what it will do to solve the problems we face as a society in the future. Even though Bitcoin currently sits at $63,774, Cathie sees its use case beyond its current value. In Cathie’s view, Bitcoin will be THE store of value and a safe haven for many countries who are dealing with economic instability and rapid inflation. At the low end, Cathie suggests that Bitcoin will 10x from here, but she expects it to 20x. The prediction sounds outlandish when we look at Bitcoin’s current price action. However, just like her Coinbase call, many will laugh and ridicule her but in the end, she may have the last laugh.
