The game, which is being launched on Abstract Chain, mixes together some well-known NFT IP with simple mechanics in a format that aims to expand the YGG ecosystem while offering a light and accessible entry point into web3 gaming for newcomers.

LOL Land was unveiled at WolvesDEN Alpha Night, a private showcase event during Game Developers Conference (GDC) 2025. YGG co-founder Gabby Dizon presented the game to an audience of web3 founders, investors, and early-access testers. According to Dizon, the project reflects YGG’s ongoing focus on community-informed development and the increasing demand for casual, time-efficient games in the space.

“We’re excited to share LOL Land with the world,” said Dizon during the presentation. “We’ve been working hard to create a game that is fun, engaging, and accessible to everyone. We want to thank our amazing community for their feedback and support throughout this journey.”

The game’s gameplay draws structural inspiration from traditional board games such as Monopoly, but retools the format for web3-native mechanics. Each turn allows players to roll the dice and move across themed maps, with opportunities to earn YGG tokens or unlock exclusive NFT rewards. The experience is designed to be both luck-driven and replayable, appealing to users who may not have the time or inclination for complex RPG or PvP mechanics.

For instance, Pudgy Penguins, a leading NFT brand known for its focus on community and IP licensing, features prominently in the game’s visuals and assets. This move integrates well-known NFT characters into the board game’s setting.

Launching on Abstract Chain with 40,000+ Pre-Registrations

The game is being launched on Abstract Chain, a consumer-friendly Layer 2 solution. Abstract Chain’s low gas fees and high-speed transactions are intended to support scalable, low-latency gameplay. According to YGG, over 40,000 players have already pre-registered for LOL Land ahead of launch, indicating substantial early interest.

Players can still pre-register at lol.land to claim welcome bonus rolls, even after the official April 15 launch. Each roll acts as a random move across the game board and can lead to $YGG rewards, NFTs, or in-game points. Pre-registered users start with bonus rolls, and can earn or purchase more during gameplay. The bonus window remains open for a limited time, so players are encouraged to register soon while eligibility lasts.

Unlike traditional token-gated models, LOL Land focuses on accessibility. It is fully browser-based and requires no software installation or hardware prerequisites. Pre-registered users will receive bonus rolls upon game launch, allowing them to immediately engage with the reward mechanisms.

The inclusion of Pudgy Penguins a leading NFT brand known for its focus on community and IP licensing marks a strategic move for cross-ecosystem collaboration. Also, it integrates well-known NFT characters into the board game’s setting. YGG aims to broaden its appeal while offering holders of the associated IP new ways to engage.

No exact launch date has been announced, but the project’s development appears to be nearing completion.
