XRP Price Rebounds After Ripple’s Breakthrough With SEC
Apr 14, 2025 at 03:15 pm
XRP is back in the spotlight after an explosive rebound above $2, following last week's dip below $1.70. With fresh momentum from bullish legal developments

Recently, XRP has been making headlines again with its rapid price recovery above the key $2 resistance level. This follows last week’s threatening move below $1.70, which sparked worries among some investors.
However, fresh momentum has been pouring in from bullish legal developments with the SEC, political support from Donald Trump, and sky-high analyst predictions, making XRP one of the hottest assets in crypto.
As the dust settles on Ripple’s breakthrough agreement with the SEC to close their long-standing case, new details are emerging about the terms of the deal and the broader implications for the crypto industry.
Here’s what happened:
Ripple Reaches $50 Million Settlement With SEC
In a recent interview with Fox Business, Ripple CEO Brad Garlinghouse revealed a major development in their legal battle with the SEC.
“We have agreed with the staff... what we’ve agreed to is to dismiss and move on,” Garlinghouse said.
The result? A $50 million settlement for Ripple, which is significantly lower than the original $125 million that Ripple had previously escrowed.
Garlinghouse added:
“We’re actually taking most of that back, including the interest that had been earned along the way.”
He credited the turnaround to the new SEC leadership and the Trump administration:
“Thanks to the new leadership at the SEC and in the White House, I think we’re seeing a much more constructive, much more pro-innovation environment.”
suggest that short-term traders may want to prepare for a potential pullback.
According to the model, which integrates technical analysis, social sentiment, and other factors, XRP is to expected to trade below $2.00 again within the next month.
This could present a good accumulation zone for those with a longer-term time horizon and who are bullish on XRP’s long-term potential.
