XRP Below $5 Is Cheap, According to Prominent Crypto YouTuber DustyBC

XRP has performed incredibly well over the past three months, ranking as the biggest gainer among the top 10 cryptos by market cap.

XRP Below $5 Is Cheap, According to Prominent Crypto YouTuber DustyBC

Renowned crypto YouTuber DustyBC still believes XRP is cheap below $5 despite the coin's remarkable rally over the past week.

XRP has performed incredibly well over the past three months, ranking as the biggest gainer among the top 10 cryptos by market cap.

An Outstanding Performance

Recall that XRP began its price surge in mid-November following President Donald Trump's reelection. The altcoin, which was trading at around $0.5 before the election, breached the $1 psychological target in mid-November.

Even though XRP faced significant pullbacks, it successfully climbed to $2 in early December and subsequently clinched the $3 target last week. On January 16, 2025, XRP soared to a seven-year high of $3.39.

XRP Below $5 Is Cheap

Despite this remarkable rally, several crypto enthusiasts considered XRP below $5 to be cheap. Renowned crypto YouTuber DustBC is among the experts who share this sentiment, suggesting that the third-biggest cryptocurrency is undervalued at a price below $5.

The crypto YouTuber made this suggestion recently while quoting his March 2021 tweet, in which he made a similar comment. At the time, he considered XRP's price below $0.5 too cheap.

Since DustyBC made the assertion in March 2021, the price of XRP has soared over 500% to above $3. Currently, the prominent crypto expert still thinks XRP is undervalued below $5. This suggests that DustyBC sees XRP below $5 as an opportunity for investors to acquire the altcoin at a discounted price compared to its real value.

Potential Reasons Why DustyBC Thinks XRP Below $5 Is Cheap

Meanwhile, the expert did not provide insights into why he believes XRP below $5 is cheap. It is noteworthy that XRP is designed to facilitate low-cost and fast cross-border payments.

Specifically, leading crypto payments company Ripple Labs is fostering XRP's payments utility by integrating the coin into ODL (now Ripple Payments), allowing users, particularly traditional financial institutions, to leverage it for cross-border settlements.

It is expected that more financial institutions, especially those in the U.S., may adopt XRP, utilizing it for cross-border settlements in the future. This adoption will soar once the lawsuit between the SEC and Ripple is finally resolved.

Several crypto stakeholders, including Ripple execs, are confident that the incoming administration will drop the multi-year lawsuit.

Also, there are speculations that Donald Trump is receptive to the idea of creating a reserve that will allow the U.S. to buy and hold cryptos developed in the country, including XRP and Solana. If this happens, it could prompt other countries to adopt XRP as a reserve asset, potentially driving its price to unprecedented levels.
