Have lunch on board the USS Massachusetts at Battleship Cove

Join Battleship Cove, 5 Water St., Fall River, for “Battleship Bites & Historic Sights” on Saturday, March 29.

Explore their historic ships and have lunch on board “Big Mamie” herself, the USS Massachusetts.

Lunch is served from 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.

A ticket includes a hot lunch of your choice: hamburger, cheeseburger, veggie burger, hot dog, or grilled cheese. Lunches include french fries and a drink. Plan to arrive no later than 1 p.m., so you have time to eat your lunch.

After securing your tickets, you'll receive an email with the subject line "Important Information Regarding Battleship Cove Lunch."

This email will contain a link to a short registration form to be completed by Wednesday, March 26.

The BattleShip Cove team asks that you fill out the registration form to help them prepare for the event.

After registering, you'll receive a second email on Thursday, March 27, with a final confirmation of your reservation.

If you don't receive the Thursday confirmation email by 3 p.m., please contact Battleship Cove at 508-497-9777.

TR3 featuring Tim Reynolds, a two-time Grammy nominee and Rock & Roll Hall of Fame inductee, will be at the Narrows on Thursday, March 27. New Bedford Whaling Museum presents Sailor Series: ‘A Voyage to the Arctic’ with Captain Graham McKay

The New Bedford Whaling Museum, 18 Johnny Cake Hill, continues its Sailor Series on Thursday, March 27.

Sail away on “A Voyage to the Arctic” with Captain Graham McKay, master boat builder and director of Lowell’s Boat Shop. Explore the history of the schooner Bowdoin, and hear about its most recent voyage to the icy waters of Greenland and the Arctic Circle.

The lecture will be held from 6 to 7 p.m., with McKay speaking about his experiences sailing the schooner.

Following the lecture, there will be a meet-and-greet reception with McKay from 7 to 8 p.m. Guests can enjoy complimentary light refreshments, as well as cocktails from the cash bar.
