Vitalik Buterin, a co-founder of Ethereum, commented on the debate over the optimal portfolio allocation, stating that his Bitcoin (BTC) holdings
Vitalik Buterin, co-founder of Ethereum, has disclosed that his Bitcoin (BTC) holdings are less than 10%, revealing a portfolio strategy that contrasts with the optimal portfolio allocation discussion.
This disclosure coincides with ETH's price surging by over 3%, sparking further discussion on allocating a cryptocurrency portfolio in the optimal way.
Crypto analyst Udi Wertheimer initiated the discussion by asserting that serious crypto investors should allocate at least 10% of their portfolio to Bitcoin, with an ideal range being closer to 70%.
However, Buterin's stance differs significantly, as he stated that he owns less than 10% of Bitcoin and any asset that isn't Ethereum. This statement highlights a strategy that prioritizes Ethereum while limiting exposure to other crypto assets.
These remarks come as technical indicators suggest a possible rally to all-time highs for ETH. Market analyst Ted Pillows claims that ETH has entered a short-term expansion phase following a period of accumulation and manipulation, setting the stage for a breakout.
Institutional accumulation is also playing a role in this momentum, with Trump's World Liberty Financial acquiring over $420 million in digital assets, including $210 million in Ethereum.
As major players in the cryptocurrency market continue to allocate significant funds, the industry is watching to see if ETH's increasing adoption will translate into sustained long-term gains.
