Valhalla Continues the Meme Coin and Gaming Crypto Trend of Seeking Mainstream Acceptance
Oct 18, 2024 at 11:07 pm
If there is any class of crypto that has seen resounding success, it is meme coins. These tokens might be based on pop culture and memes but they have
Meme coins have seen great success in the crypto world, despite being based on pop culture and memes. These tokens have proven to be very profitable, with some presales breaking records and tokens continuing to perform well in the market.
As a result, consumers are always on the lookout for new meme coins to invest in, according to Alan Draper. Investors evaluate the community strength, market capitalization, and market volatility of each meme coin when selecting which crypto to purchase.
But despite all this success, the asset class is still accused of having no use cases. And while there are meme coins that rely solely on hype, other projects, like Pepe Unchained’s network plans and the Dogecoin space mission, are aiming to become much more robust.
One of these projects is Valhalla, a play-to-earn MMORPG from Floki, a top blockchain project. Several play-to-earn projects have had a successful year, raising millions in presales and attracting millions of users, like Hamster Kombat. However, these games have largely remained within the crypto scene, without reaching mainstream audiences.
Valhalla aims to bridge this gap by partnering with Alliance, a major esports company. With access to a vast network of players, the partnership will allow the benefits of blockchain to be promoted more widely.
Valhalla will be available on Alliance’s live-streaming network and will also be featured on jerseys.
“This partnership goes beyond gaming—it’s about unlocking new avenues for players to compete, earn and engage in the digital economy,” said Mr. Brown Whale, Valhalla’s lead advisor.
One of the game’s main selling points is that players can earn rewards as they achieve milestones, making it more appealing to players.
This isn’t Valhalla’s first strategic partnership in esports. They joined forces with OG Esports last year, becoming a jersey sleeve sponsor and gaining visibility at official games, part of a broader industry trend of meme coins, gaming coins, and other crypto projects gaining more acceptance in the mainstream.
The goal is to generate wider acceptance by informing mainstream audiences about the projects and their advantages. As a result, we’ve observed crypto firms sponsoring everything from sports teams to stadiums.
For tokens in the gaming and meme coin space, this is especially crucial as it allows their practical value to be established, particularly among non-crypto users. As play-to-earn continues on its winning streak, these partnerships will be essential in helping them go mainstream.
Hopefully, even the harshest critics will begin to see value in both these games and crypto as a whole.

- Rahul calls for real women empowerment
- Oct 19, 2024 at 02:15 am
- ct 18 (UNI) Leader of the Opposition in Lok Sabha Rahul Gandhi on Friday called for real empowerment of women and not mere token representation. He was addressing the meeting of ‘Shakti Abhiyan’, a movement launched by the Indira Fellowship for women empowerment in the country. Participants from 21 states, who were top performers in their respective fields, and who committed to tackling the deep challenges of patriarchy facing women at the grassroots level, participated in today’s deliberations. Addressing the meeting, Rahul emphasised that the struggle in politics today was not just against the traditional opposition parties, but a broader “ideological battle”. He said, "Our fight in politics today is not just for power, but also for representation and they are two sides of the same coin, not as different as some people think." Rahul lauded the bold efforts of the Shakti Abhiyan, which is providing space for women to lead, organize and reshape political discourse in their communities. Shakti Abhiyan, run by Indira Fellowship, is a national initiative aimed at ensuring equal representation of women in Indian politics. The demands of the Shakti Abhiyan include, “Equal Political Representation”, to ensure 50% representation of women in elected offices at all levels. The participants in the session shared their on-the-ground experiences and discussed the challenges of social resistance, lack of resources and patriarchy in the political framework. The national executive meeting of Shakti Abhiyan will continue for the next two days, in which future action strategies will be discussed to expand the movement and strengthen the political participation of women in India.
