Unlighted Alpha NFT Mint Pass: Get Early Access to the Web3 Survival Battle Royale

Aug 13, 2024 at 05:15 am

The studio developing blockchain battle royale Unlighted has announced its plans for the multi-round launch of the Alpha NFT Mint Pass, which is said to bring various exclusive perks to those who manage to attain it.

Unlighted Alpha NFT Mint Pass: Get Early Access to the Web3 Survival Battle Royale

Unlighted, a Web3 survival battle royale, is preparing for the multi-round launch of its Alpha NFT Mint Pass, offering exclusive perks to those who secure it.

Announced via Medium on December 15, the Alpha NFT Mint Pass will grant early access to the Unlighted ecosystem and its upcoming flagship Web3 title. Holders will gain the opportunity to try out new features earlier and receive special in-game items. Additionally, they will get priority whitelist spots for future NFTs and access to exclusive content and “opportunities” for a better gameplay experience. Owning this NFT will also allow players to participate in the upcoming alpha version of the blockchain title, which is set to launch in Q4 2024, according to the roadmap.

While the exact mint date, blockchain, and price are yet to be revealed, the team has shared the hourly times and round details for whatever day the launch ends up being. Only 1,500 NFTs will be up for grabs across two rounds, with a potential third round if supply still remains.

The first phase is the Guaranteed Round, which will have 1,000 spots that guarantee an allocation. If you end up getting whitelisted for this phase, you won't have to worry about missing out, as long as you mint within the given time limit. This round will start at 11:00 GMT and last an hour. If any passes are still unminted after an hour has passed, then those allocations will go towards the second whitelist phase: the First Come, First Serve Round.

From 12:00 GMT, at least 500 NFTs will be available for whitelisted users, but given the nature of this round, you’ll want to be quick to mint your pass before supply runs out. If there is still any unminted supply remaining an hour later, then the Public Round will open at 13:00 GMT to give everyone a chance to mint any NFTs that might remain, without needing to meet any whitelist requirement.

It's important to note that if you qualify for the first round, you won't be eligible to participate in the second round. You’ll need to make use of the 1-hour window to prevent losing your allocation. By limiting participants to one of the two whitelist rounds, the team aims to deliver a “fair distribution of opportunities across our community.”

But how do you earn a spot in the Guaranteed or FCFS Rounds? Well, that’s under wraps for now. The official announcement on Medium and the game’s Discord server simply encourage the community to keep a lookout for upcoming announcements that will provide detailed instructions on how to take part in this sale.

Recently, the team finished their giveaway campaigns for their $ULD token that were hosted on Zealy, Galxe, and Gleam, so it likely won't be long before they announce ways to earn whitelist spots for the NFT passes. I’m guessing that you can probably expect to see similar social campaigns go live ahead of the mint date to reward active community members with a ticket to one of the two rounds.

About Unlighted

Unlighted is an in-development Web3 survival battle royale with looting-based elements set in a dark medieval fantasy world. The third-person title combines survival and looting mechanics with battle royale gameplay, requiring you to manage hunger and thirst while battling other players. Next to PvP combat and resource gathering, players can also experience PvE battles against huge monsters while completing AI-generated challenges that combine farming and combat with social gameplay where players form temporary alliances to reach a common goal while hoping they don’t get backstabbed along the way.

Players will be able to earn an in-game currency by looting other players as well as by doing various gameplay activities, but it will also be possible to purchase it using the $ULD utility and governance token. With the in-game currency, you can upgrade characters, buy healing potions, boost various abilities, and potentially more. The $ULD token is already live, and aside from its previously mentioned utility, holders will also be able to use it to buy battle passes that will contain exclusive loot and treasure maps. With $ULD you’ll also be able to gamble on “chance games,” buy NFTs in the ecosystem’s marketplace, and utilize a banking system that lets you buy insurance using the token, locking $ULD and loot in the process to earn more tokens, in-game assets, and/or NFTs. As a governance token, holders will get to vote on various proposals, and it will also be used for a variety of guild activities.

Unlighted is set to enter alpha testing in Q4 2024, with beta testing to follow in Q1 2025, and finally the official launch in Q2 of next year.
