UFC Instagram Hacked with Crypto Scam, Fans React to the New ‘Borz’ Coin
Jan 31, 2025 at 04:15 am
UFC's Instagram account has been hacked with a crypto scam, I'm told. Be cautious out there!
UFC’s official Instagram account was hacked on Wednesday night with a slew of posts promoting a pump-and-dump cryptocurrency.
Officials quickly confirmed to USA TODAY Sports that the posts were not legitimate and that the account had been hacked. UFC president Dana White has yet to make any statement on the matter.
The posts also included a crypto wallet address, and remained up for over 30 minutes. An IG Story linked to a website for the fraudulent crypto sale. Bitcoin (BTC), the world’s largest cryptocurrency, is currently trading at an all-time high of $109,026.02. Dana White’s close confidant and three-time GOP nominee Donald Trump has announced plans for a U.S. Bitcoin strategic reserve, driving up the coin’s value.
However, White, head litigator and CBO Hunter Campbell have never been linked to any cryptocurrency ventures. Cryptocurrency scams cost Americans more than $5.6 billion in 2023.

Major crypto scams have been a problem in recent times, and one notably involved none other than UFC middleweight phenom Khamzat Chimaev. In fact, as soon as the Instagram hack took place, fans began taking shots at his past misadventures.
Here are some of the responses to the matter:

The $UFC IG post has been up for over an hour and they haven’t responded about it on twitter or anything. If this is a hack, it has to be an inside job and they are farming the fuck out of it pic.twitter.com/Ew6d30mJeX
Why have they not commented about this? @ufc $UFC
Still better than promoting Power Slap

There were also responses to the original matter on IG.

One top comment billed this as an inside job by an “$11.3 billion company running crypto scams.” Others wrote “Khamzat Chimaev scamming again,” with a ‘Borz’ coin! Some took a jab at Dana White’s affinity for GOAT fighter Jon Jones, commenting “Password was: JonJonesp4p#1,” “UFC changed their password from IluvJones123,” and the like. Overall, it was a viral matter. But was it in favor of the UFC media crew? After all, no press is bad press if it gets one talking.
