Yesterday’s acquisitions bring the value of World Liberty Financial’s digital assets to almost $80M, according to data by Arkham Intelligence. That includes $16.33M of Ether, $14.82M of Wrapped Bitcoin, and 13.24M of Tether, among other cryptocurrencies.

What exactly is World Liberty Financial?

Trump announced his World Liberty Financial venture – a community governance-based DeFi platform – in September last year. Trump is joined at the helm by his sons Eric, Donald Jr, and Barron, alongside a slew of co-founders.

According to the project’s ‘gold paper’ (that’s a whitepaper to us regular folk), its aim is to ‘democratize access to financial opportunities while fortifying the global status of the US dollar.’

‘To accomplish this goal, WLF strongly believes in supporting US dollar-based stablecoins and DeFi applications that are striving to preserve the US Dollar’s status, ensuring it remains the global reserve currency for the next century.’

The WLFI presale began in October, with the launch of the Ethereum-based ERC-20 token expected around mid-2025. So far, 25B of the 100B total token supply have been sold, and 1 WLFI currently costs $0.05.
