Feb 10, 2025 at 07:04 pm

Ardoino predicts that the BTC creator's Bitcoin holdings might be put back in circulation in the future, highlighting that quantum technology could pose a serious threat to the security of Nakamoto's wallets.

Tether CEO Predicts What Will Happen to Satoshi Nakamoto's Bitcoin Fortune

Satoshi Nakamoto, the creator of Bitcoin, is one of the most enigmatic figures in the cryptocurrency industry. We know that he is the founder of the oldest and largest cryptocurrency, and that’s not all – we also know that he holds at least 1.1M BTC.

Some experts, like Mike Novogratz, believe that he is not alive. So, what will happen to his fortune? Tether CEO paolo ardoino has recently made a prediction related to this. Curious to know? Read on!

Tether CEO’s Prediction on What Will Happen to Satoshi’s Fortune

Ardoino predicts that the BTC creator’s Bitcoin holdings might be put back in circulation in the future, highlighting that quantum technology could pose a serious threat to the security of Nakamoto’s wallets.

Google’s Quantum Chip and Bitcoin Security

Earlier this year, the crypto community started discussing the possibilities of creating a quantum-resistant environment for the crypto industry after Google introduced Willow, a powerful quantum computing chip.

Meanwhile, experts believe that quantum computing currently poses no threat to the cryptocurrency sector, especially Bitcoin.

To break the Elliptic Curve Digital Signature Algoritum of Bitcoin, at least 1 million qubits is needed. But Willow’s strength is just 105 qubits.

Tether CEO’s View on Quantum Threats

Ardoino acknowledges that quantum computing poses no immediate threat to the crypto industry.

He emphasizes the possibility of the introduction of quantum-resistant addresses in the future. He also notes that once such wallets are launched, existing wallet holders can move their assets to these wallets.

Speculation About Satoshi Nakamoto’s Identity

Tether CEO’s statement has once again triggered a discussion around the identity of Satoshi Nakamoto.

The last time a serious discussion about his identity emerged was before the release of an HBO documentary on Nakamoto.

Sadly, the documentary failed to provide a conclusive answer to the question ‘who actually is Nakamoto?’ Instead, it created more confusion, unconvincingly presenting Peter Todd as Satoshi Nakamoto.
