Telegram Posts Increased User Engagement And NFT Uptake Figures
Oct 24, 2024 at 12:07 am
Telegram's messaging app has seen a fivefold increase in NFT transfers, with gaming session times rising from 2.8 to 6.7 minutes.
Telegram's messaging service has seen a fivefold increase in NFT transfers, with gaming session times rising from 2.8 to 6.7 minutes. However, the platform's saturation point makes it difficult for developers.
Telegram's messaging app is continuing to thrive on its beneficial relationship with cryptocurrency and blockchain, with recent figures showing a fivefold increase in NFTs transferred to or from Telegram wallets.
The figures, released by Helika, also show that Telegram gaming session times have increased from an average of 2.8 to 6.7 minutes.
The increase in gaming session times is likely a result of improved game design from developers, as the platform's gaming platform is reaching saturation point, which means that it is becoming increasingly difficult for game developers to be seen.
Telegram's gaming platform offers hundreds of different types of games including puzzle, RTS, shooters, and strategy games. The best Telegram casino games are also extremely popular with players, as they offer betting and gaming opportunities directly from within the Telegram app. As casino expert Nikita Jones states, Telegram supports a wide range of live casino, table, and slot games.
Many of the games on the Telegram app use Non-Fungible Tokens as their in-game assets and the rise in NFT use on Telegram is the most striking part of Helika's report.
The app saw NFT transfers increase from 200,000 to more than a million during the most recent quarter.
Even more impressive, however, is the fact that 600,000 NFT wallets are being used regularly on the app. This suggests that there are many active NFT gamers on Telegram.
It may also be a sign that the use of NFTs is becoming more widely accepted by gamers and could lead to the increased uptake of blockchain gaming.
The increase in user engagement has seen average gaming session times also increase.
A typical gaming session now lasts 6.7 minutes, up nearly three times compared to the average 2.8-minute session in the previous quarter.
As well as greater acceptance of NFTs in games, this points to the fact that game publishers are really getting to grips with producing appealing games that retain players for longer.
One surprising facet of the report's figures is that the bulk of Telegram's users (55.91%) come from Europe.
This is in stark contrast to the Web 3.0 gaming industry as a whole, which is generally made up primarily of players from Latin American and Asian markets.
In total, Telegram has over 900 million active monthly users.
Hamster Kombat
Telegram has a wide range of games available on its app. Hamster Kombat launched in March 2024 and is a tap-to-earn game.
Tap-to-earn games are a form of play to earn games, but they require minimal interactions for players to earn rewards.
In the case of Hamster Kombat, players take on the role of hamster CEOs charged with managing their own virtual cryptocurrency exchange.
They must make investments, improve their exchanges, and complete daily challenges. Doing so earns the players HMSTR coins.
Games like this, with the potential to earn real-world rewards, keep players engaged on the site.
Catizen
Catizen is a more traditional NFT-style game also found on Telegram.
In this game, players breed and raise cats while being rewarded with CATI tokens for their efforts.
Every cat raised in the game is an individual NFT and it can be traded on the marketplace, with games like this helping to increase Telegram NFT uptake.
