Telegram has taken another step in expanding its cryptocurrency offerings by adding Litecoin to its built-in Wallet feature. Starting March 24, 2025

Telegram, the popular messaging app, has taken another step in expanding its cryptocurrency offerings by adding Litecoin to its built-in Wallet feature.
Non-U.S. users of the app will now be able to buy, sell, and trade Litecoin directly within the Telegram app, starting on March 24. However, external transfers—both deposits and withdrawals, are not yet available. The Wallet team has confirmed that this feature will be introduced at a later date.
This integration marks a significant milestone in Telegram’s journey to seamlessly connect messaging and digital currencies. With over 1 billion active monthly users, Telegram is one of the world’s largest messaging platforms. Its internal cryptocurrency wallet has also been growing rapidly, now boasting more than 100 million users.
Telegram’s Wallet already lets users trade popular cryptocurrencies like Bitcoin, Toncoin, and USDT, along with some in-app gaming tokens. More digital currencies will be added in the coming months, but Litecoin was chosen now as a tribute to its long-standing reputation as one of the most trusted and widely used cryptocurrencies.
To mark Litecoin’s launch on Telegram, the platform is allowing users to get it for free over the next seven days. This gives people a chance to try out the feature without any extra cost. The offer is likely to draw in more users and encourage greater use of Litecoin on Telegram.
