Surge in Tether Activity on Tron Raises Concerns Amid Market Turmoil

Apr 22, 2024 at 04:20 pm

Amidst Ethereum's market challenges, DeeStream's token presale gains traction among cryptocurrency holders, including those holding Tether USDt and Tezos. While Tezos faces mixed price predictions and a bearish sentiment, Tether USDt's surge in transactions on Tron raises concerns about potential illicit activities. However, Ethereum developers proceed with plans for the next upgrade, "Pectra," and DeeStream's presale continues to attract investors with its innovative model that rewards token holders and streamers while prioritizing freedom of expression.

Surge in Tether USDt Activity on Tron Raises Concerns

Amidst the ongoing market turmoil facing Ethereum, the surge in Tether USDt (USDT) transactions on the Tron network has引起了关注. CryptoPotato reports that Tether USDt has averaged around two million transactions daily on Tron, surpassing levels last seen in January 2023. This marked a significant increase since February, when the figure stood at around 1 million daily transactions.

However, this growing adoption of Tether USDt on Tron has also raised concerns regarding illicit activities on the network. According to blockchain forensics firm TRM Labs, Tron accounted for 45% of illegal transaction volume in 2023, eclipsing both Ethereum and Bitcoin.

Cybercriminals, North Korean hackers, terrorist financiers, and drug sellers have been drawn to Tron due to its low gas fees and minimal price fluctuations. These illicit actors often exchange stolen or illicit crypto assets for Tether USDt on the network before laundering them through over-the-counter trades.

Mixed Outlook for Tezos Price Amidst Bearish Sentiment

Tezos price predictions have presented a mixed outlook, with forecasts indicating a moderate increase but also a prevailing bearish sentiment. According to recent projections, Tezos is expected to rise approximately 15.90% to reach $1.259 by May 15, 2024.

However, technical indicators suggest a bearish sentiment currently dominating the market. Over the past 30 days, Tezos has experienced fluctuating prices, with 16 out of 30 days showing positive gains. This reflects a price volatility of 7.03%.

Given the current forecast, it may not be the most opportune time to invest in Tezos. Looking further ahead, Tezos price predictions for 2025 and 2030 present varying scenarios. For 2025, forecasts range between $1.062 and $2.46, suggesting a potential gain of up to 127.17% if Tezos reaches its upper price target.

Similarly, for 2030, predictions range between $0.925475 and $3.52, indicating a potential gain of 226.27% if Tezos achieves its upper price target.

Ethereum's Pectra Upgrade on the Horizon

After the successful implementation of the Dencun upgrade, Ethereum developers are preparing for the blockchain's next major upgrade, dubbed "Pectra." While the exact details of Pectra are still being finalized, developers are keen to roll it out while simultaneously working on more substantial changes for future upgrades.

One of the primary goals of Pectra is to introduce several incremental improvements to Ethereum that can be implemented relatively quickly. One likely inclusion is EIP 3074, which seeks to enhance the user experience of Ethereum wallets by enabling users to execute multiple transactions simultaneously.

Another important consideration is EIP 7251, which proposes increasing the number of Ethereum validators that can stake from 32 ETH to 2,048 ETH. This move is intended to improve network security and decentralization.

DeeStream's Presale Garners Attention

DeeStream is a revolutionary platform that is transforming the way content is created and consumed online. Half of the revenue generated from sponsored advertising and platform fees is distributed to DeeStream token holders, giving them a stake in the platform's success.

Streamers are charged a nominal percentage of revenue from subscriptions, ranging from 2% to 10%. Unlike traditional streaming platforms that impose restrictions on creators and delay withdrawals, DeeStream promotes freedom of expression and offers lower fees for streamers.

With over 17,000 registered users and 3,200 investors, DeeStream is currently in Stage 2 of its presale. DST tokens are available at a price of $0.06 during this phase. DeeStream prioritizes security and transparency, with team tokens locked for 1,000 days and liquidity locked indefinitely.
