"Strategy, a well-known corporate Bitcoin ($BTC) holder, has recently made another purchase. According to Strategy's executive chairman and co-founder, Michael Saylor, the platform has acquired up to 22,048 more $BTC for $1.92B.
The purchase of 22,048 $BTC coins for a price of nearly $1.92B to increase the Bitcoin holdings. This purchase comes at a per-$BTC price of $86,969. As a result of this, the cumulative Bitcoin holdings of the platform have reached a staggering 528,185 $BTC. The respective figure denotes an aggregate buying price of nearly $35.63B, signifying a per-coin price of $67,458.
Further, the executive chairman pointed out that the platform has attained almost 11.0% $BTC yield year-to-date in 2025. This highlights the strategic focus of the company on the accumulation of Bitcoin. In addition to this, it also discloses that Strategy believes in Bitcoin's value appreciation in long term. Saylor also shared the Form 8-K submission of Strategy that is filed with the United States Securities and Exchange Commission.
The filing mentions that the platform funded the latest $BTC acquisition with the proceeds coming from the current at-the-market stock offerings. From March 24 to March 30 this year, the Strategy offloaded 3,645,528 shares of the Class A common stock via the ATM project, collecting $1.20B. The firm additionally collected more capital via perpetual strike preferred stock.
Hence, it released 213,807 shares of the eight percent Series A perpetual stroke preferred stock for $18.52M. Michael Saylor considers this acquisition a crucial step in broadening the Bitcoin holdings of Strategy. The aggressive Bitcoin buyouts by Strategy underscore the firm's double-down confidence in Bitcoin's future growth. This move also focuses on contributing to the increasing $BTC adoption and increased institutional involvement in the Bitcoin ecosystem. Overall, this development sets precedent for more companies to delve into such strategies."
