The latest price moves in crypto markets in context for November 18, 2024.

Solana Breaks Out to New Cycle Highs

Price movements in major cryptocurrencies on Friday morning:

Bitcoin (BTC) slipped below the key threshold of $90,000. BTC was trading down 0.34% over the past 24 hours at $90,660.93 by early U.S. trading hours.

Bitcoin's price has largely stalled in the past week after a monster rally of over 150% since Donald Trump's election victory, with the token hitting record highs almost every trading day. However, some analysts are predicting BTC could potentially climb as high as $200,000.

Crypto markets have outperformed traditional markets, with the S&P 500 down 1.32%.

Meanwhile, solana (SOL) continued its outperformance, adding 4.3% to hit highs of $240.34. SOL is now up over 200% in the past month.

The broader crypto market was also in the green. The CoinDesk 20 Index, a measure of the performance of the 20 largest cryptocurrencies by market capitalization, was trading up 1.66% over the past 24 hours.
