SKALE Labs co-founder and CTO Stan Kladko will be speaking at Buidl Europe's inaugural event in Lisbon on January 10th.
His presentation, titled "Play your cards right: introducing BITE protocol – the blockchain that plays fair," will take place on January 10 at 2:50 PM UTC.
SKALE is a high-throughput, gas-free network of interconnected, modular blockchains. It is designed to enhance Ethereum projects by providing a scalable environment for developers to shift their projects from Ethereum, enabling them to achieve better performance.
SKALE operates in tandem with Ethereum, leveraging its unique consensus mechanism. It combines Ethereum's proof-of-stake (PoS) framework with SKALE's pooled security model. This synergy enables secure, rapid transactions without gas fees, positioning SKALE as an efficient platform, particularly for Web3 and gaming applications, enhancing Ethereum's scalability for wider adoption.
SKL, the utility token of SKALE, is an ERC-777 token, maintaining backward compatibility with the ERC-20 standard. It offers token-level delegation, allowing for non-custodial staking directly from user wallets, without the need for traditional smart contract locks. Within the network, SKL is used for payments, particularly for SKALE chain subscriptions. Token holders, whether validators or delegators, can stake SKL to earn rewards. Validators, by running nodes, ensure the network's security, transaction validation, and smart contract execution, earning SKL in return. Delegators, while playing a passive role, earn a fraction of these rewards.
