Shiba Inu (CRYPTO: SHIB) took another step toward mainstream adoption after the United Arab Emirates' Ministry of Energy and Infrastructure (MoEI) announced plans to integrate blockchain applications powered by the meme coin into various public sector services.
What Happened: The partnership will see MoEI utilize Shiba Inu's Operating System (ShibOS), built on the layer-2 blockchain Shibarium, to incorporate blockchain-based programs and applications into government services.
The integration aims to streamline operations, enhance transparency, and bolster security in the delivery of energy, infrastructure, housing, water resources, and transportation services overseen by MoEI.
“We are excited to announce this partnership with Shiba Inu, a decentralized community token that aligns with our vision for the future,” said Sharif Al Olama, Undersecretary for Energy and Petroleum Affairs at MoEI.
“Whether it’s reinforcing our net-zero roadmap or modernizing how we manage energy and infrastructure, Shiba Inu's solutions fit perfectly into our mission to remain a global innovator.”
The partnership marks a significant development for Shiba Inu, which boasts a market capitalization of $9 billion as of Thursday.
