There’s an unexpected trend in the world of cryptocurrencies. According to the latest data from IntoTheBlock, the meme-based crypto Shiba Inu has shown a solid resilience in investor loyalty.

Shiba Inu (SHIB) Outpaces Bitcoin (BTC) and Ethereum (ETH) in This Unexpected Trend

There's an unexpected trend unfolding in the world of cryptocurrencies. While Bitcoin usually takes the spotlight with its longevity and strong community, the latest data from IntoTheBlock has revealed a surprising statistic.

According to the on-chain data aggregator, memecoin Shiba Inu boasts an incredible level of investor loyalty, with 76% of its holders keeping their tokens for over a year.

This is compared to Bitcoin and Ethereum, which have 73% and 74% long-term holders respectively. Long-term holders are defined as entities that have kept their tokens for more than a year. A higher percentage of these holders indicates that investors believe in the asset and see its potential for the long term.

“This chart shows the amount of long-term holders across various assets. Which one stands out to you?”

This stat is truly remarkable, especially considering the volatile nature of the crypto market.

Shiba Inu's numbers are even more impressive. Out of the total SHIB token holders, 22% have held their tokens for between one and 12 months, and only 2% are new investors who have held tokens for less than a month.

A higher percentage of long-term holders usually signifies greater confidence in an asset. It also shows that investors are not selling their tokens quickly, preferring to hold onto them for the long term.

Shiba Inu is known for its strong community and memecoin status, which could contribute to the high percentage of loyal investors who are holding onto their SHIB tokens.

Bitcoin, on the other hand, has 74% long-term holders, 22% holding for one to 12 months, and 5% new investors who have bought tokens in the past month.

Shiba Inu's average token holding period is also impressive, considering it was launched five years later than Bitcoin. Despite this, it shows an average token holding period of 2.6 years, compared to 2.4 years for Ethereum and 4.4 years for Bitcoin.

According to crypto experts, these numbers show that more people have faith in Shiba Inu, and the memecoin has surprised everyone with its resilience.

While Bitcoin is the oldest and best-known cryptocurrency, Shiba Inu's loyal investors suggest a bright future for the memecoin, especially in an industry as volatile as crypto.

The data from IntoTheBlock provides valuable insights into investor behavior and preferences, highlighting Shiba Inu's ability to attract and retain investors in the fast-moving crypto market.

However, market analysts caution that putting money into cryptocurrencies carries a high risk, and anyone considering investing should do their homework carefully and understand the risks involved before making any investment decisions.
