The Shiba Inu ecosystem is on the brink of major advancement as it develops its own Layer 3 network.
Shiba Inu is set to introduce its own Layer 3 network, according to a recent update from the SHIB team.
In a tweet on Friday, SHIB team member Lucie highlighted various tokens and dApps within the Shiba Inu ecosystem, including the highly anticipated Layer 3 network.

Lucie provided an overview of the Shiba Inu ecosystem, highlighting assets like SHIB, LEASH, BONE, Shiboshis and ShibtheMV. Anticipation remains high for the TREAT and SHI tokens, which are yet to be launched.
Lucie also mentioned other Shiba Inu dApps like ShibaHub, ShibaSwap and Shiba Eternity, which are integrated with Shibarium, along with the SHIB name service, which was created in partnership with D3inc. Notably, Lucie mentioned that one of the most exciting upcoming additions to the Shiba Inu ecosystem is its own Layer 3.
Shiba Inu Layer 3 in the worksAs mentioned by Lucie, Shiba Inu developers are working with open-source cryptography company Zama on an upcoming, yet-to-be-named Shiba Inu Layer 3 network.
This network will reportedly utilize Fully Homomorphic Encryption (FHE), a privacy tool that enables developers to use data on untrusted domains without needing to decrypt it, ensuring both security and privacy. Shiba Inu is set to benefit from FHE, impacting everything from its tokens and projects like Bone and Treat to the Metaverse and Shibdentity.
Earlier this year, Shiba Inu announced plans to launch a new privacy-focused network that will sit on top of the Shibarium blockchain. The upcoming Shiba Inu ecosystem token TREAT will power the "new privacy layer," enabling developers to build a targeted network on top of Shibarium, a Layer-2 network that settles transactions on the Ethereum blockchain. The move is expected to enhance on-chain privacy for SHIB token holders by shielding their personal and transactional data.
