Sei Network: Expanding Access to DeFi Ecosystem with Fiat Payment Integration
Oct 18, 2024 at 10:00 pm
Because of its scalability and user-friendly ecosystem, Sei Network is a Layer 1 blockchain well-known in decentralized finance (DeFi).
Cryptocurrency payments service MoonPay has officially integrated with Sei Network, enabling users to easily top up their wallets using fiat currencies.
This integration marks a significant step in expanding access to cryptocurrency, especially for those who might find conventional crypto buying options difficult.
Now live on Sei, MoonPay users can seamlessly top up their wallets using payment methods like debit/credit cards, Apple Pay, Google Pay, bank transfers, and PayPal.
"With @moonpay, accessing crypto just got easier. Users can seamlessly top up their wallets using payment methods like debit/credit cards, Apple Pay, Google Pay, bank transfers, and PayPal. Explore a new way to access Sei's ecosystem with MoonPay!"
Sei Network, a Layer 1 blockchain known for its scalability and user-friendly ecosystem in decentralized finance (DeFi), is set to expand its reach with this integration.
MoonPay's services will allow Sei users to buy digital assets without needing in-depth knowledge of cryptocurrency.
This alliance will help Sei users engage more effectively with the ecosystem, thanks to the ease of fiat payment options.
Many people find that using well-known services like Apple Pay and Google Pay to interact with Sei’s DeFi ecosystem makes the experience more approachable.
Moreover, MoonPay's availability on several wallets and exchanges gives Sei Network a wider reach.
The platform serves as a reliable gateway for crypto transactions, and this integration could draw more people to the Sei ecosystem.
This is about changing users interactions with decentralized platforms, not only about simplicity of usage.
Along with conventional payment options, the integration offers bank transfers, providing users with freedom and security in their transaction management.
On the other hand, transaction fees on Sei Network have become increasingly competitive.
CNF reported that during the past few months, Sei’s transaction costs dropped over 25%, highlighting the network’s cost-efficiency.
Indicating the network's increasing worth, the Sei v2 update boosted daily transactions to 5 million and increased the total value locked (TVL) by an impressive 229%.
Sei’s partnership with Particle Network for the EVM-Cosmos Co-Testnet also highlights the cross-chain ambitions, as we covered earlier.
Particle Network's Universal Accounts and Universal Gas highlight the transforming power of chain abstraction as they allow transactions across several blockchains to use any currency for gas fees.
Meanwhile, Sei’s native token, SEI, is trading at around $0.4394 at the moment, showing a 1.99% increase over the last 24 hours.
The token's daily trading volume is at about $137.48 million.

- Rahul calls for real women empowerment
- Oct 19, 2024 at 02:15 am
- ct 18 (UNI) Leader of the Opposition in Lok Sabha Rahul Gandhi on Friday called for real empowerment of women and not mere token representation. He was addressing the meeting of ‘Shakti Abhiyan’, a movement launched by the Indira Fellowship for women empowerment in the country. Participants from 21 states, who were top performers in their respective fields, and who committed to tackling the deep challenges of patriarchy facing women at the grassroots level, participated in today’s deliberations. Addressing the meeting, Rahul emphasised that the struggle in politics today was not just against the traditional opposition parties, but a broader “ideological battle”. He said, "Our fight in politics today is not just for power, but also for representation and they are two sides of the same coin, not as different as some people think." Rahul lauded the bold efforts of the Shakti Abhiyan, which is providing space for women to lead, organize and reshape political discourse in their communities. Shakti Abhiyan, run by Indira Fellowship, is a national initiative aimed at ensuring equal representation of women in Indian politics. The demands of the Shakti Abhiyan include, “Equal Political Representation”, to ensure 50% representation of women in elected offices at all levels. The participants in the session shared their on-the-ground experiences and discussed the challenges of social resistance, lack of resources and patriarchy in the political framework. The national executive meeting of Shakti Abhiyan will continue for the next two days, in which future action strategies will be discussed to expand the movement and strengthen the political participation of women in India.
