Mar 31, 2025 at 03:57 pm
A new full-body VR experience from Sandbox VR is set to open in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, US, in April.
Sandbox VR, the full-body virtual reality experience, is expanding to Philadelphia, PA, with its new venue opening on April 18.
The franchise will be operated by LOL Entertainment and its CEO and Founder, Rob Cooper, in his home town.
The new venue will see groups of up to six people put on VR headsets and motion sensors to transport them into a virtual world.
The players will then team up and battle in a shared world, taking on up to nine different VR experiences, including the Netflix-licensed Rebel Moon: The Descent and Squid Game Virtuals.
After the session, each guest will receive a personalised highlight video which captures the action and excitement of the game.
Sandbox has been backed by celebrtities including Justin Timberlake, Katy Perry and Will Smith.
The franchise will be opening in a 4,400 square foot space at 127 Walnut Street, which was previously home to Old Navy.
Cooper added: "We're aiming to create unforgettable experiences that foster connection and togetherness in an increasingly digital age. We invite everyone in Philadelphia to join us for an incredible journey into the Sandbox universe."

Even though the recent price weakness is often linked to the escalating US-led global trade war, several factors had already been weighing on investor sentiment long before President Donald Trump announced the tariffs.
