Rumble Launches USDT-Powered Wallet to Monetize Content Creators

Mar 26, 2025 at 09:38 pm

Canadian YouTube alternative Rumble announced the launch of its wallet with support for Tether's USDT stablecoin.

Canadian YouTube competitor Rumble has announced the launch of its own wallet with support for Tether’s USDt (USDT) stablecoin.

Announcing the development in a March 26 X post, Rumble CEO Chris Pavlovski said the service will be used for content creator monetization. He added that it will "work better than most advertisers" and that it will use Tether's USDt (USDT).

Tether CEO Paolo Ardoino expressed his enthusiasm for the initiative, describing it as "A wallet for the people" in a subsequent X post.

We are huge fans of @Rumble__VIP and their commitment to financial literacy!

Looking forward to seeing the innovative use cases come to life with support from USDT. 👏

A wallet for the people, by the people.

Get ready for an extraordinary year ahead! 🚀https://t.co/b8sG92688b

The announcement comes after Tether invested $775 million in Rumble in late 2024. Announcing the investment, Ardoino said the firm is a "huge fan" of the company and its "commitment to financial literacy."

"We are also impressed by the company’s values, which align closely with our own. Rumble is known for its belief in broad financial inclusion, and its willingness to stand up for what is right, even in the face of adversity. These are values that we at Tether hold very dear," he added.

The investment is one of several major ones made by the $143 billion stablecoin issuer recently.

Earlier in 2024, reports indicated that Tether was the seventh-largest holder of US Treasury securities globally, putting it above many nation-states.

In February, Tether completed a majority investment in Juventus FC, a major Series A football club based in the city of Turin, Italy. During the same month, the stablecoin operator announced plans to take a majority stake in South American agribusiness firm Adecoagro.

Meanwhile, Rumble has also begun investing some of its own capital. Earlier this month, the firm announced it had acquired over $17 million worth of Bitcoin (BTC).

Announcing the move in November 2024, Rumble said it would be investing up to $20 million in the flagship cryptocurrency.
