Ronin, the sidechain of the Ethereum blockchain developed by Sky Mavis, the creator of the popular play-to-earn game Axie Infinity, has integrated a new meme coin launchpad called Tama Meme.
This platform, developed by Moku, is designed to expand the previously curated ecosystem of Ronin as part of an initiative dubbed “Operation Leviosa.”
Tama Meme allows users to quickly create new tokens, similar to the Pump.fun launchpad that operates on the Solana network. For a fee of 1 RON (approximately $1.65), users can design their own tokens by selecting an image, ticker, and name.
Once established, these tokens are introduced via a bonding curve mechanism that increases their market capitalization with each purchase. Upon reaching a certain threshold, tokens become tradable on Katana, Ronin’s decentralized exchange.
Since its launch on Tuesday, Tama Meme has reportedly facilitated the creation of around 7,000 new tokens, which are now held across nearly 60,000 Ronin wallets, according to data compiled by Joshua Dear, a data analyst at Game7 DAO.
The tokens created thus far include variations on existing popular tokens and new memes, such as the CuteAsianGirl (CAG) token, which has reached a market cap of $4.3 million.
To mark the launch, Tama Meme is hosting a Ratz Race competition, offering more than $40,000 in RON and NFT prizes. This initiative illustrates Ronin's commitment to fostering a diverse and active ecosystem.
In other news, the Ronin network is also preparing to welcome Rumble Kong League, a basketball game backed by Steph Curry, as it migrates from the Avalanche blockchain.
