Chase Lawrence, lead singer of the band, made a statement via an Instagram post about the band's decision to dissolve.
Pop band COIN was scheduled to perform at Purdue’s Elliott Hall of Music as part of their fifth tour, "I’m Not Afraid Of Music Anymore." However, the band has announced their breakup, leading to the cancellation of the concert.
Chase Lawrence, lead singer of COIN, announced the band’s decision to dissolve in an Instagram post.
“Their behaviors directly conflict with my values, and I am devastated for anyone who has been affected by these actions,” said Lawrence in the post.
Lawrence captioned his Instagram post, “COIN can no longer continue as a band.”
According to Lawrence, he parted ways with guitarist Joe Memmel a day before the post.
Earlier this month, drummer Ryan Winnen announced he was stepping away from the band.
The specific reasons for the band members leaving the band are not stated.
The Purdue Student Concert Committee announced the cancellation of the upcoming COIN concert due to the band’s breakup.
All purchased tickets for their tour will be refunded and are available from where the tickets were purchased.
