Polygon announced the second season of the Community Grants Program, offering 35 million POL in grants for builders. The themes for this season are AI, DePIN, and Memecoins.
Applications are now open and will close on April 15, 2025. Builders are encouraged to apply for projects that align with these themes.
The Community Grants Program is overseen by the Community Treasury Board and aims to foster a vibrant community of builders and disruptive projects.
In the first season of the program, over 1,000 applications were received, and 18 million POL was allocated to more than 120 projects.
The price of POL at the time of writing is $0.45. While other cryptos experienced significant price surges in November and December, POL's price remained relatively stable.
However, it saw a substantial increase in March 2024, reaching its All-Time High (ATH) of $1.27 on March 14, 2024.
The POL token, which was previously known as MATIC, ranks 32nd among all cryptocurrencies with a market capitalization of 3.85 billion dollars.
