PokerGO released a statement Thursday aiming to clarify that the brand has no connection with the recently launched NGNFCoin cryptocurrency.
PokerGO is attempting to distance itself from a new cryptocurrency that has seemingly used the name of one of the brand's television shows in an effort to promote the digital asset.
NGNFCoin has been listed on several crypto exchanges, with the name of the coin bearing more than just a coincidental resemblance to the No Gamble, No Future TV show produced by PokerGO.
The coin is also being advertised with the phrase "No Gamble No Future" across several advertising mediums. It appears to use the phrases "No Gamble No Future" and "No Gamble No Fortune" interchangeably in reference to the "NGNF" part of the branding.
A website that appears to be the home site for the coin explicitly mentions poker culture and includes the exact phrase "No Gamble No Future" throughout.
However, PokerGO released a statement Thursday aiming to clarify that the brand has no connection with the cryptocurrency.
"PokerGO has no involvement or affiliation with the recently launched cryptocurrency NGNFCoin," the statement reads. "We have not authorized, endorsed, or partnered with NGNFCoin or its creators in any capacity. Any claims suggesting otherwise are false and misleading.
"We are currently exploring legal options to prevent the unauthorized use of our name and protect our brand integrity. For accurate information about our company, please refer to our official channels or contact us at support@pokergo.com."
No Gamble, No Future is a popular program that airs on PokerGO and stars Jeff Platt and Brent Hanks. The show debuted in 2022 and is scheduled for a fifth season to air beginning next month.
