Pokemon TCG Pocket Players Have Created A Luck Calculator

Pokemon TCG Pocket: Luck Calculator Is A Must For Any Serious Collector

There have probably been times during Pokemon TCG Pocket's first four months where you've felt pretty unlucky. Particularly when you see people sharing cards they didn't even know existed.

Thanks to some of your fellow players, there's now a Pokemon TCG Pocket calculator that lets you know if you really are as unlucky as you feel, or if it's all in your head.

Dubbed the Pokemon TCG Pocket Luck Calculator, the fanmade website tasks you with entering a few pieces of information about your Pocket collection. It will then crunch the numbers and break down whether you've been lucky or unlucky when it comes to happening upon some of Pocket's rarer cards.

The pull rates for all of Pocket's card types are available in the app. However, this fanmade calculator is a lot easier to understand and makes the statistics specific to you.

To get your breakdown, you will need to input how many cards you've pulled from TCG Pocket's five rarest categories so far. That's Crown Rares, the three tiers of star rares, and four diamond cards. You will also need to input how many packs you have opened to date, and how many of those packs have been God Packs.

If you're unsure where to find all of these statistics, scroll down beyond the input boxes on the calculator site and there are pointers on where you need to go to find all the required numbers. You can filter your cards by rarity using the search function in the cards tab. Just make sure you're using the number in the top left and not simply counting the cards yourself as you may have duplicates.

The number of packs you have opened so far can be found in the achievements section on your profile page. God pack numbers are the only thing you need that Pocket isn't tracking, although it happens so infrequently that I'd hope you'd remember how many you've opened so far. I have opened zero God Packs so far and according to Pokemon TCG Pocket Calculator, that's completely normal for someone who has opened 340 packs so far.

God Packs are packs where all five cards have a rarity of one-star or higher.

The calculator will tell you where you sit for each of the rarities you input data for. Turns out I've pulled a lot more three-star cards than most with eight from my 340 packs opened so far. Excuse me if I don't feel quite as lucky as the numbers imply since five of those eight are the Dialga immersive rare. Is everyone pulling that card a lot or is it just me? Seems like I may need a calculator for my calculator.
