Paytaca Bitcoin Cash Wallet App: The Ultimate Guide to Sending and Receiving BCH in the Philippines

Paytaca, a financial technology company, is making significant strides in the Philippines by revolutionizing the local digital payment landscape with Bitcoin Cash (BCH). The company is becoming a key player in driving the country’s crypto adoption narrative. Their efforts have been recognized for creating a user-friendly, secure, and non-custodial wallet, which has led to increased adoption among Filipinos.

We got the chance to interview the founder and Chief Executive Officer of Paytaca, Joemar Taganna, during the recent Cebu Blockchain Conference 2025 in Cebu City, Philippines. This groundbreaking event is Cebu City’s first-ever crypto and blockchain conference in partnership with Web3 Cebu and WAV3.

In this interview, we delve into the world of Paytaca, exploring its unique features, and discussing the company’s role in promoting Bitcoin Cash adoption in the Philippines.

What Is Paytaca?

Paytaca is a financial technology company that makes peer-to-peer electronic cash accessible globally, mainly through Bitcoin Cash (BCH). Their wallet, the Paytaca wallet, brings the power of BCH to the hands of every user, with their private keys solely under their custody, giving them complete control of their own money. Their app is being developed as a “Supper App” and will contain future aggregated services like food deliveries, cab-hailing, bill payments, mobile reload, etcetera.

Why Bitcoin Cash?

According to Taganna, Bitcoin Cash is a purely peer-to-peer version of electronic cash that allows online payments to be sent directly from one party to another, making it sound money for the modern internet world.

“Bitcoin Cash has inherited the strengths of Bitcoin as money,” Joemar Taganna, founder and CEO of Paytaca, told UseTheBitcoin during the recent Cebu Blockchain Conference 2025. “It has expanded on its scalability; it remains fast and cheap to transact. And also, in the last few years, it has increased its capability to be programmable money,” he added.

Furthermore, the Paytaca wallet brings Bitcoin Cash to everyone and everywhere. They currently have the app built for browser and mobile, with features that are accessible and easy to use by beginners and advanced users.

How Paytaca Differentiates Itself From Other Bitcoin Cash Wallets?

Paytaca differentiates itself from other Bitcoin Cash wallets by focusing intensely on the adoption and practical use of Bitcoin Cash in everyday transactions. The CEO of Paytaca highlighted:

“There are only a few Bitcoin Cash wallets out there, but Paytaca differentiates itself by taking the adoption part of it very seriously. So, we are not just a wallet company; we are also actively engaged in onboarding businesses and users to use Bitcoin Cash for payments through Paytaca.”

How To Use The Paytaca Wallet App?
