Pakistan captain Mohammad Rizwan made the call at the toss, opting to send his batters out to the middle first.
India captain Rohit Sharma was looking to win the toss and put Pakistan in to bat first, but it was not to be.
The match is set to begin at 3pm local time (11am GMT).
