A rare 50p coin featuring Paddington Bear at St Paul's Cathedral has sold on eBay for £500 - ten times its original value.

The coin was minted in 2019 to celebrate the 60th anniversary of the iconic British Bear.

It was listed on the online auction site by a seller in Bolton, who described it as a "must-have for enthusiasts".

The coin features a design of Paddington based on the CGI-live action movie in front of St Paul's Cathedral.

The other side features Queen Elizabeth II.

The coin has been listed on eBay for as high as £20,000 in the past.

Other Paddington Bear 50p coins were also minted, which show the bear in front of other iconic landmarks such as Buckingham Palace and the Tower of London.

It can be collected in person in Bolton or delivered by Royal Mail Special Delivery for free.

The seller has said that no returns are accepted.
