In other news, the underlying protocol of OriginTrail, developed by Trace Labs, was introduced in 2018 on Ethereum as the first-ever "Decentralized Knowledge Graph". The protocol is now being used by major brands and institutions across the globe to promote multi-chain interoperability among participants in the data-sharing ecosystem. Users can store and access shared and discoverable data in the network.

Currently, OriginTrail is interoperable with Ethereum, Polygon, and Gnosis Chain.

OriginTrail's native token, TRAC, is an ERC-20 cryptocurrency that can be traded with other cryptocurrencies on the Ethereum platform. After the Ethereum Merge, transactions involving the token are validated using the Proof-of-Stake (PoS) consensus mechanism.
