OriginTrail facilitates efficient data sharing across multiple entities within a multi-chain ecosystem. Developed by Trace Labs, the underlying protocol was introduced in 2018 on Ethereum as the first-ever “Decentralized Knowledge Graph.” This blockchain-based protocol plays a crucial role in promoting multi-chain interoperability among participants in the data-sharing ecosystem. Currently, OriginTrail is interoperable with Ethereum, Polygon, and Gnosis Chain. After the Ethereum Merge, transactions involving the token are validated using the Proof-of-Stake (PoS) consensus mechanism, which enhances the token's credibility and security within the ecosystem.
