The 5 Best Online Gambling Websites in 2023: Raging Bull Slots, Ignition, and More

Recently, I went on a solo voyage around the USA. I took in a couple of states like New Jersey and New York, where - among other things - I decided to use my downtime to check out the best gambling sites.

Here are the top 10 gambling websites that were recommended to me by the locals.

Whenever I got the chance, I spent a fair amount of time testing each casino site out. I played casino games while relaxing in my hotel room, travelling on buses, as well as waiting for trains.

I wanted to be the first to play casino games while scaling the Statue of Liberty too, but turns out I wasn’t allowed. Maybe next time.

I also made sure to put my phone down from time to time and see as much of America as I could. I caught a Bulls game in Chicago, visited Coney Island in New York, and enjoyed an afternoon of culture at the Newark Museum of Art in New Jersey.

In short, I ticked a lot of stuff off my bucket list.

When it came to online casino gaming, I must admit that I was a bit wet behind the ears. I’ve played at a lot of land-based casinos in my time but rarely ventured online.

To make sure I was doing this right, I asked a few residents in the local bars if they could recommend to me their favourite casino site. A couple of names kept popping up and they were the ones I decided to check out.

For the rest of this review, I’ll be walking you through my personal experience at the top 4 casino sites. I’ll also be sharing some advice based on my experiences, and answering a few common questions related to online gambling.

First Online Casino I Tried: Ignition

Games I played: Lair of the White Tiger, Fury of Zeus, Texas Hold’em

Hours I spent testing: 4

Bonus I claimed: $3,000 combo bonus

How I did: Won $110

Ignition, it seems, is a widely acclaimed online casino that’s been in operation since 2016. I could instantly see why so many people recommended it as soon as I landed on the homepage: All new players are entitled to a $3,000 ‘combo’ welcome bonus.

What’s a combo welcome bonus? In this case, it’s one where the bonus funds are split 50/50 between the poker room and all the other casino games. The reason for this is that Igniton boasts more traffic than any other poker site.

Of course, it’s much, much more than just a poker site. It has more than 400 casino games in total, including Lair of the White Tiger, which has a $50,000 jackpot.

Enticed by the intriguing name (and the massive jackpot), it’s the game I tried first, using $20 of my bonus funds (I deposited $75 to trigger the offer). This game comes with an x3800 potential win, the graphics are super cool - and I banked a cool $300 after triggering 8 free spins.

Not a bad start, huh?

Unfortunately, my luck didn’t hold when I spent the next 20 minutes playing Fury of Zeus, which has a more modest $1,000 jackpot.

Before I finished, however, I decided to enter a poker tournament at close to midnight, since this is what Ignition is so well-known for. Playing Texas Hold’em on an anonymous table suited me just fine and I made a clean $300 profit here overall.

What I liked:

Ignition is a no-nonsense, fuss-free casino site that makes everything so easy for you, ensuring you’re able to quickly create an account and start playing casino games.

In fact, I couldn’t quite believe that it only took me 2 minutes to get started once I’d first arrived on the homepage.

I like the fact that there’s an app, too. I downloaded and installed it and the games are exactly the same as they are on desktop.

There’s also a rewards program here. It’s called Ignition Miles, and while I never got the chance to take full advantage, it impressed me that a casino site could be so generous as to reward its customers every time we play a casino game.

The more you play, the more points you’ll accrue. Over time, you can exchange them for real money or bonus funds.

What I didn’t like:

If I’m honest, I would have liked to have seen a few more games. There are just over 40
