Norma in Metaland, the web3 reboot of the popular mobile title Cooking Adventure, is set to officially relaunch on March 31 via Immutable zkEVM.

Norma in Metaland, the web3 reboot of the popular mobile title Cooking Adventure, has officially relaunched on Immutable zkEVM. The game returns on March 31 with updated token mechanics, new reward opportunities, and deeper integration into the GRAM ecosystem.
Originally released in 2015, Cooking Adventure has already brought together more than 3.3 million players worldwide and generated sustained engagement across markets, including South Korea, Japan, the United States, and Europe.
The game’s utility token, $CANDY, plays a central role in the playtoearn structure. Players earn $CANDY by completing stages in various restaurants, with earnings set at 3 $CANDY per cleared stage in Normal Mode and 4 $CANDY per stage in the more challenging Master Mode. Completing all stages in Master Mode unlocks a final payout of 50 $CANDY, along with World Chef Championship (WCC) tickets.
In-game progression also relies on the strategic use of $CANDY. Players can spend the tokens to upgrade their restaurants’ interiors and kitchens. Interior upgrades improve customer wait times and tip values, while kitchen enhancements increase revenue per dish. However, players are encouraged to balance upgrades with skillful play, as it is possible to earn top rewards without relying on every enhancement.
To help improve performance across stages, players can dress up the main character, Norma, using costumes that provide basic buffs. These buffs can be further enhanced using additional items from Dr. Albert’s Lab. However, buffs apply to only one restaurant at a time, and switching between locations incurs a $CANDY cost, encouraging players to make calculated choices.
Competition plays a major role in Norma in Metaland through the World Chef Championship. This event-based leaderboard allows players to compete in five-stage tournaments across three rotating restaurants. Two of the tournament locations are chosen by the GRAM DAO, and voting is conducted using staked $GRAM(PUS) via the GRAM Staking Portal. WCC performance is based on aggregate scores, and top players receive significant $CANDY rewards.
Beyond skill-based earnings, the game also introduces an element of chance through the Cake Festival. Players can spend 1 $CANDY to spin a wheel for a chance at high-value prizes. While jackpots are rare, every spin provides a guaranteed reward. According to the developers, the largest prize to date was 80,045 $CANDY, won by a single player through the Cake Festival mechanic.
To support the in-game economy, players can also acquire $CANDY by purchasing $GRAM(PUS) on the MEXC exchange and converting it through a dedicated swap pool. While $GRAM(PUS) is currently live on the Base chain, an Immutable-based version will go live in April. The $GRAM(PUS) ↔ $CANDY pool is scheduled to launch shortly afterward, allowing for seamless asset conversion within the Immutable zkEVM ecosystem.
Norma in Metaland is now available across Android, iOS, and web platforms. The game’s relaunch on Immutable zkEVM is expected to bring smoother gameplay, scalable infrastructure, and increased player rewards. The launch marks a major step in the GRAM ecosystem’s broader roadmap, integrating tokenized game mechanics with proven IP and accessible user experiences.
