With the rise of Web3 interactions, Telegram users are increasingly embracing non-fungible tokens (NFTs) on the platform.
Telegram users are embracing NFTs with increasing enthusiasm, as evident by a recent report from Web3 data provider Helika. The report reveals a staggering 400% rise in NFT activity on Telegram during Q3 of 2024.
According to Helika's “Q3 ‘24 Telegram Games Report,” the number of unique wallets engaged in daily NFT transfers on Telegram surged from less than 200,000 in July to over one million by September.
This activity showcases how Telegram gamers are actively purchasing, sending, and utilizing NFTs within games, highlighting a thriving ecosystem. The report further reveals that nine games on the platform collectively boasted three million active wallets in September.
Besides the surging NFT transactions, gaming engagement has also seen an extension, with the average session time increasing from 2.8 minutes in August to 6.7 minutes at the beginning of October, thanks to more immersive experiences.
One game that has stood out on Telegram is Hamster Kombat, which has gone viral with over 300 million users. On September 25, the game announced its plans to incorporate NFTs and introduce new titles within its ecosystem.
The roadmap reveals NFT integration for Season 2, which is set to launch in November. A recent trailer also hinted at a new narrative where players will become CEOs of their own companies.
