Nansen Announces Partnership with IOTA to Bring Advanced Analytics Tools to the IOTA EVM Ecosystem
Feb 19, 2025 at 07:12 pm
Today, Nansen announced a partnership with IOTA. Thanks to this partnership, Nansen's advanced analytics tools, including IOTA Growth Dashboard and Nansen Query
Blockchain analytics platform Nansen has announced a partnership with IOTA.
This partnership will see Nansen’s advanced analytics tools, such as the IOTA Growth Dashboard and Nansen Query, being integrated into the IOTA EVM ecosystem.
These tools will provide users with a powerful suite of analysis capabilities, and more features are set to be added in the future.
About IOTA
IOTA is a crypto project that was launched in 2016. It is designed for the Internet of Things (IoT), and it utilizes Tangle technology, which differs from the classic blockchain.
This technology is an open-source distributed ledger that is created to facilitate real-world applications on-chain. It combines a permissionless public asset infrastructure with smart contracts for enterprise solutions and Web3 innovation.
The project is overseen by the IOTA Foundation, a non-profit organization based in Berlin, and it also receives support from other entities in Switzerland and Abu Dhabi.
The IOTA EVM ecosystem has witnessed substantial growth over the past year, with a rising number of active addresses. Recently, the ecosystem boasted 636 daily active addresses, despite short-term fluctuations.
Furthermore, the volume of transactions has surged, with over 42,360 transactions recorded in the last 24 hours. Additionally, developer engagement is increasing, with new smart contract deployments being made daily.
Nansen brings advanced analysis to IOTA
One of the leading providers of blockchain analysis and insights, Nansen is an analysis platform that enhances on-chain data with millions of wallet labels.
Investors can utilize Nansen to uncover opportunities, perform due diligence, and access real-time dashboards and alerts.
In the past, the platform has undertaken several similar collaborations, aiming to make its data and analyses available to a wider user base.
The partnership in detail
Nansen will be integrating advanced analysis tools into the IOTA EVM ecosystem, including the IOTA Growth Dashboard and Nansen Query.
The IOTA Growth Dashboard will provide users with key on-chain metrics, such as the number of active addresses, transaction volume, and the main entities within the ecosystem.
By leveraging Nansen’s extensive data infrastructure, investors, developers, and participants in the IOTA ecosystem will be able to derive valuable insights to aid in decision-making and strategy development.
The integration will be carried out in phases, with the IOTA Growth Dashboard being launched initially, alongside Nansen Query. Subsequently, more features will be added, including Nansen Profiler and Token God Mode.
The price of IOTA
The native cryptocurrency of the IOTA ecosystem, also known as IOTA, debuted on crypto markets in 2017.
A few months after its arrival, a massive altseason occurred, driving its price up from $0.6 to almost $5.7.
This price peak in December 2017 remains the all-time high to date.
During the bear-market of 2018, the price fell below $0.3, and the following year it even dropped below $0.2.
However, during the great bullrun of 2021, it managed to recover, even rising above the initial price of $0.6.
That year, the peak, however, stopped well below the all-time high of four years earlier, which was below $2.4.
Although during that second great altseason it was thought that IOTA had recovered in the crypto markets, during the bear-market of 2022 the price first fell back below $0.3, and then again even below $0.2.
Shortly before Trump’s electoral victory a few months ago, it had even plummeted to $0.1, but following that event, it marked a rebound that for a brief moment had brought it back to $0.5.
However, at the end of December, it had already returned to $0.3, and in February 2025, it also returned to $0.2.
Comments on the partnership
The CEO of Nansen, Alex Svanevik, had the following to say:
“As we continue to expand our analytical capabilities in the main blockchain ecosystems, the integration with IOTA is a natural next step.
This collaboration will allow users to monitor the growth of the IOTA ecosystem with real-time data, supporting deeper insights and more informed decisions”.
Co-founder of IOTA and chairman of the board, Dominik Schiener, added:
“We are truly happy to strengthen our ecosystem with Nansen’s advanced analysis.
By integrating IOTA EVM with Nansen, community members and builder teams gain valuable insights to make data-driven decisions, monitor ecosystem growth, and refine their strategies with greater confidence
