Mercuryo Adds Fiat-to-Crypto On-Ramps for USDt on The Open Network

Mercuryo, a global payments infrastructure provider, has integrated fiat-to-crypto on-ramps for Tether tokens (USDt) within The Open Network (TON) ecosystem. This integration allows users to seamlessly convert their fiat currency into USDt, boosting transaction efficiency within the network. The on-ramps are initially integrated into Tonkeeper and will soon be incorporated into Wallet, a Telegram-based crypto wallet with over 900 million users.

Global payments infrastructure provider Mercuryo has announced the integration of fiat-to-crypto on-ramps for Tether tokens (USDt) within The Open Network (TON) ecosystem. This development significantly enhances the accessibility of USDt within the TON environment, enabling users to seamlessly convert fiat currencies into USDt.

The integration with Tonkeeper, a self-custody wallet compatible with TON transactions and diverse digital currencies, marks the debut of the fiat-to-USDt on-ramps. Additionally, Mercuryo's on-ramp for USDt will be incorporated into Wallet, a Telegram-based crypto wallet with an impressive user base exceeding 900 million. This integration facilitates instant, fee-free USDt transfers between Telegram contacts globally.

Expressing satisfaction with the initiative, Aviessa Khoo, Executive Director at Mercuryo, emphasized its transformative potential in delivering advanced payment solutions within the digital token sphere. Oleg Andreev, CEO of Ton Apps Group, underscored the significance of USDt support within TON, asserting that it marks the first instance of a mass-market economy operating on a decentralized network.

The launch of fiat-to-USDt on-ramps is part of a broader strategy by Mercuryo to enhance the usability and accessibility of digital assets. The company plans to subsequently introduce off-ramp services, enabling users to convert cryptocurrency back into fiat. This feature will be available via Wallet and prominent wallets within the TON ecosystem.

This initiative aligns with Mercuryo's commitment to fostering innovation and adoption in the digital asset industry. By providing accessible on- and off-ramps for USDt on TON, Mercuryo aims to empower users with greater flexibility and control over their digital asset management.
