Memecoin Launchpad Pumpfun Unveils Its Native DEX, PumpSwap, to Streamline Trading

Memecoin Launchpad Pumpfun Unveils Its Native DEX, PumpSwap, to Streamline Trading

Solana-based memecoin launchpad Pump.fun has launched its own decentralized exchange (DEX), called PumpSwap. The move is designed to streamline the trading experience for users and reduce dependency on external platforms.

Previously, secondary market transactions for tokens launched on Pump.fun were handled by Raydium, which levied a 6 SOL (Solana) fee on each token to migrate it from the launchpad to the DEX. However, with PumpSwap, there is no migration fee, and newly minted tokens can be traded immediately and freely.

The platform operates on the constant product formula, similar to Uniswap V2 and Raydium V4, to ensure decentralized and efficient trading. Users can create liquidity pools at no cost, contribute to existing pools, and trade all listed tokens with a 0.25% transaction fee—where 0.20% is allocated to liquidity providers and 0.05% goes to the protocol.

The platform’s launch coincides with the rise of memecoin culture on Solana, driving demand for dedicated launchpads and trading solutions.

Pump.fun’s decision to integrate a DEX not only enhances user autonomy but also positions it as a one-stop-shop for token launches, trading, and liquidity provision.

With Raydium actively developing its own memecoin-related infrastructure, the competition between these platforms is expected to intensify, pushing innovation and improving overall trading experiences on Solana.

Meanwhile, the revenue-sharing model proposed by Pump.fun could become an industry standard, setting a new precedent for fair creator incentives in DeFi.

PumpSwap’s launch is a pivotal moment for both Pump.fun and the broader Solana DeFi ecosystem. By integrating trading, liquidity, and incentives under one roof, Pump.fun is reshaping how memecoins are created, launched, and traded.

With security measures in place and upcoming revenue-sharing mechanisms, PumpSwap could be a significant catalyst in driving sustainable growth within the sector.
