Legendary trader Peter Brandt has made a bearish prediction for XRP, forecasting that its market cap price could drop by 50% by the end of 2025.

Legendary trader Peter Brandt has made a bearish prediction for XRP, forecasting that its market cap price could be slashed by 50% to $60 billion by the end of 2025.

What Happened: Brandt recently took to X to share his forecasts for several markets, including the S&P 500, gold, Bitcoin and oil. While he's pessimistic about Bitcoin and XRP, he remains optimistic about gold's performance.

Currently, XRP is being traded at around $2.08, showing a rise of 1% over the last day. However, its trading volume has decreased by 29% to reach $1.7 billion. The coin is moving within a narrow range of $2.06 and $2.10, indicating that investors remain uncertain about the next move.

According to Brandt, XRP might remain at its current price until the end of 2025. But if the market takes a more bearish turn, he believes its total value (market cap) could decrease from $121.6 billion to just $60 billion. For that to happen, the price would need to drop to about $1.

However, recent trends suggest that Ripple’s coin might perform well in July, which aligns with the expectations of many experts. This prediction is supported by the past years, where many altcoins, including XRP, experienced strong growth during this month.

Brandt also shared his outlook on Bitcoin, stating that it will likely finish the year at around $84,000 according to his chart analysis. He doesn't foresee a significant breakout any time soon.

This prediction contrasts with the views of other experts. For instance, Robert Kiyosaki expressed his belief that Bitcoin could soar to $1 million in the upcoming years, which has contributed to increasing investors' confidence.

Despite his bearish stance on both Bitcoin and XRP, Brandt is very bullish on gold, which he predicts will reach $3,500 by the end of 2025. He even called it "Gold Finger, the market with the magic touch."
