For instance, one seller is selling a Brilliant Uncirculated 50p coin in a Royal Mint coin card for £49,999.
It is described as "rare" and "valuable" and comes in a "limited edition".
Meanwhile, another seller is selling a 1997 coin for £15,000, claiming that it is "very rare and collectable".
The item is described as being in "excellent condition".
According to the Royal Mint, the salmon 50p coin was released in March 2023 as part of the standard circulating coins.
It was designed by Harry Brock, who was inspired by salmon returning to spawn in the British Isles.
The coin also features an inscription that reads "Salmon" and "Charles III".
It is one of four coins in the Royal Mint's standard circulating series for 2023.
The coins usually enter circulation gradually throughout the year.
In total, there are 10 new 50p coins being released in 2023.
They are released in two batches throughout the year.
The first batch of coins was released in February and includes a Brilliant Uncirculated version of the salmon 50p coin, which is available to buy on the Royal Mint website for £8.5.
