The event, hosted by the growth head at KILT Protocol, will discuss how DePIN is building the bridge between physical and digital worlds.
KILT Protocol, a Web3 decentralized identity (DID) solution, will participate in an upcoming Ask Me Anything (AMA) session on X. The event is slated for December 19th at 15:00 UTC and will delve into the realm of DePIN, a project that aims to seamlessly integrate the physical and digital domains.
According to an official tweet by KILT, the discussion will center around DePIN's unique approach to bridging these worlds. The initiative seeks to empower individuals with the ability to effortlessly transition between their physical and digital identities.
KILT Protocol is renowned for its innovative contributions to the Web3 ecosystem, particularly in the realm of decentralized identity. Built on the Parity Substrate and launched as a Kusama parachain in September 2021, the platform boasts a strong presence in various industries including gaming, NFTs, DeFi, DEXs, energy, health care, and banking. Notably, KILT became a fully decentralized parachain in November 2021.
At the core of KILT's digital identity system lie two crucial components: a Digital Identifier (DID) and Verifiable Credentials (VCs) linked to the identifier. An Attester, or trusted authority, issues Credentials, which are fully controlled by the recipient (the Claimer).
In stark contrast to conventional systems, KILT does not advocate for storing personal data on the blockchain. Instead, only hash values are preserved, ensuring that the user's data remains securely within their Credential and under their direct掌控. This blockchain system enables users to attest to the authenticity and validity of their Credential through these hashes. Moreover, Attesters have the capability to generate a new hash, effectively revoking the Credential when necessary.
KILT's native token serves multiple functions, ranging from on-chain utility and payment processing to staking.
