KGeN (Kratos Gamer Network) Has Shared New Details on rKGEN, Explaining What It Actually Is

Web3 gaming questing platform KGeN (Kratos Gamer Network) has shared new details on rKGEN, explaining what it actually is
Web3 gaming questing platform KGeN (Kratos Gamer Network) has shared new details on rKGEN, explaining what it actually is, how they’re distributing it, and why they’re opting to use it.
What Is rKGEN?
rKGEN is a non-transferrable rewards token on the Aptos chain that is being used as a “fairdrop solution” that determines the airdrop allocation of active contributors. Each rKGEN is set to be redeemable to $KGEN at a 1:1 ratio after TGE. If you want to get the $KGEN airdrop, you’ll want to collect as many rKGEN as you can now before the actual token officially launches.
After claiming, rKGEN tokens can be staked straight away to earn more rewards in an effort to encourage long-term engagement. Staking lets you earn up to a certain APY, increases your future claim the longer you stake, gets you whitelisted for certain partner airdrops, access to exclusive perks, and more.
“Think of rKGEN as a Proof of Contribution, designed to reward those who are truly part of KGeN’s long-term journey.”
How Will rKGEN Be Distributed?
The developers are looking to distribute rKGEN across a couple of different phases to try and accordingly reward active participants.
For now, the team has given details on Phase 0 and Phase 1.
Phase 0 is referred to as “The OG Tribe” and it’s dedicated all who engaged on the questing platform before December 31st, 2024. The snapshot thus has already been taken for this one, so if you participated on time, congrats! It is said that 2.5% of the token’s supply has been allocated to this phase.
Phase 1 is “The New Tribe” that represents everyone engaging on KGeN from January 1st, 2025, and onwards. The snapshot has not been taken for this yet, and info on when that might happen probably won't be revealed until after the team has taken it on an unannounced date. Anyone who hasn't claimed their share of rewards from Phase 0 will have their unclaimed allocation added to the prize pool of this phase. The number of tokens being distributed for this phase is yet to be announced.
As for future phases, new ones are planned to be announced after the end of each phase. The snapshot times for each phase however will not be announced in order to ensure fair participation.
Why KGeN Introduced rKGEN
The reason why KGeN introduced rKGEN is an attempt to try and deliver a better airdrop system, as most airdrops are simply farmed and dumped, leading to failing ecosystems. With rKGEN, the team is looking to build a fair system where real contributors are rewarded “fairly and sustainably.”
To achieve this system, the team has set up a multi-phase distribution structure where rewards “are earned over time, not all at once.” Another important aspect is unannounced snapshots. By not knowing when a phase is over, the team is able to prevent “opportunistic” farming.
Further encouraging activity and engagement are POG score and K-Points-based rewards. Users can increase POG score and earn K-Points by completing various K-Quest and K-Drop campaigns on the platform, and the more K-Points you have, the bigger stash of rKGEN you are likely to get. After every phase, everyone’s progress also resets, meaning newcomers actually have a chance of earning their fair share of rewards, while “past contributors receive a gentle boost for continued participation.”
With this overall structure, users are encouraged to participate for the long-term and whoever jumps in a later phase has a fair chance of participating, keeping continued engagement valuable while still recognizing those who were among the first to contribute to this platform.
So, if you haven't already, perhaps it’s time to jump in to quest and earn points in KGeN for the upcoming airdrop.
