The Jupiter DAO announced this and warned users against doing anything that would compromise their wallets. The main @JupiterExchange account appears to be compromised.
Jupiter’s official X (formerly Twitter) account was hacked, and the protocol announced this development.
The banner on the Jupiter DAO page now reads: “The main @JupiterExchange account appears to be compromised. Do not click any links. Do not copy-paste any CAs. Be careful!”
This incident comes as several users have begun complaining about being scammed by a memecoin link posted on the X (formerly Twitter) account. However, the hacker’s activities continue unabated.
Some context: Previously, an airdrop account for the Jupiter (JUP) token on the Solana-based Jupiter exchange was compromised.
One individual managed to bypass the protections and gather 1.85 million JUP tokens, valued at around $1 million, by exploiting over 9,000 wallets.
Some speculated that insider information may have helped this person obtain a large number of tokens unfairly.
While Jupiter later reallocated 1,000+ airdrops for over 10,000 community members who had their wallets drained, this recent hack further tarnishes the exchange’s already troubled reputation.
