Interactive Brokers, one of the world's leading electronic brokers, has taken a bold step in expanding its crypto offerings. The company recently announced the addition of four major digital assets, Solana (SOL), Cardano (ADA), Ripple (XRP), and Dogecoin (DOGE), to its trading platform.

Interactive Brokers Expands Crypto Offerings to Include Solana (SOL), Cardano (ADA), Ripple (XRP), and Dogecoin (DOGE)

The company, known for catering to both retail and institutional investors, has included four major digital assets: Solana (SOL), Cardano (ADA), Ripple (XRP), and Dogecoin (DOGE).

This move follows the increasing demand from investors to manage and trade cryptocurrencies alongside traditional investment assets, like stocks, options, futures, and bonds, all within a single, integrated account.

Cryptocurrency trading on the platform will be available 24/7, in response to the continuous nature of the crypto market. Investors can adjust to the varying market opening times and holidays around the world.

The platform also offers advanced trading tools, including non-marketable limit orders and the ability to withdraw cryptocurrencies to external wallets, according to the statement.

Compared to other major crypto exchanges and online brokers, these rates are lower. For instance, at Coinbase, the trading fees vary from 0.5% to 0.75% of the trade value, while at Fidelity, the standard options trading commission is $0.0.

This cost-effective approach may also attract institutional investors who are looking for a regulated and efficient way to trade digital assets.

Having a reputable and well-established brokerage like Interactive Brokers offering crypto trading could encourage more widespread adoption among mainstream investors.
