How to get Infection Gunfight Mega Token in The Hunt Mega Edition
Mar 18, 2025 at 08:24 pm
You can get the Infection Gunfight Mega Token in any regular Infection: Hero match as long as you have the previous 8 Mega Tokens.
In the vast and sprawling realm of gaming, where time is of the essence and efficiency reigns supreme, the pursuit of Mega Tokens in Apex Legends can be a tedious yet rewarding endeavor. Among the many game modes available, Infection: Hero presents a unique and time-efficient avenue for acquiring these valuable tokens.
As the ninth and final token in The Hunt Mega Edition, the Infection Gunfight Mega Token is only obtainable after collecting the previous eight. This may seem like a daunting task, but with a clear strategy and a focused approach, you can collect all nine tokens in around 15 to 30 minutes.
To begin your journey, select any regular Infection: Hero match. The goal is to complete the first stage of the game, which involves reaching the third round of the match and then losing. This may sound counterintuitive, but it's crucial for activating the Mega Token.
After losing the third round of the match, you'll be returned to the main menu, where you'll find the first Mega Token awaiting you. From there, you can quickly restart another Infection: Hero match and continue the cycle.
The second stage of the game is to win an Infection: Hero match. This time, you'll want to select a map that has a close-knit layout, such as Kings Canyon or World's Edge. A tighter map will increase your chances of quickly eliminating the enemy team and securing the victory.
Upon winning the match, you'll receive the second Mega Token and can immediately begin a new game to collect the third.
The third stage is to get 10 assists in a single Infection: Hero match. To maximize your efficiency, select a map with a broader design, such as Olympus or a new map. A larger map will provide more opportunities for setting up assists as you support your teammates from a distance.
To easily rack up assists, try focusing on keeping track of enemy locations and alerting your teammates to their movements. You can also use abilities that can easily hit multiple enemies, such as Bangalore's Smoke Launcher or Octane's Launch Pad.
Once you've achieved 10 assists in a single match, you'll receive the third Mega Token and can move on to the next stage.
The fourth stage is to get 15 headshots in a single Infection: Hero match. Again, a larger map will be beneficial for spreading out the enemies and providing more opportunities for headshots.
Aim for precise shots to the enemy's heads and use abilities that can stun or slow down enemies to increase your chances of landing clean shots.
After getting 15 headshots in a single match, you'll receive the fourth Mega Token and can quickly start another game.
The fifth stage is to get five triple kills in a single Infection: Hero match. This stage may take a bit longer as it requires quickly eliminating three enemies in close proximity.
A good strategy is to try and get close to the enemy team when they're engaged in a fight. You can then quickly eliminate them with a well-timed ability or combo.
Once you've achieved five triple kills in a single match, you'll receive the fifth Mega Token and can move on to the next stage.
The sixth stage is to get 10 kills with a single weapon in a single Infection: Hero match. For this stage, it's best to choose a weapon that you're comfortable with and that suits your playstyle.
If you prefer close-to-medium range combat, then weapons like the R-301 Carbine or Flatline are good options. For longer-range engagements, weapons like the Triple Take or G7 Scout are better suited.
After getting 10 kills with a single weapon in a single match, you'll receive the sixth Mega Token and can quickly start another game.
The seventh stage is to get five kills without dying in a single Infection: Hero match. This stage is best approached by playing cautiously and strategically, prioritizing survival while still actively seeking out enemies.
If you find yourself in a difficult situation, it's better to retreat and live to fight another day. The goal is to stay alive for as long as possible and rack up kills gradually.
Once you've achieved five kills without dying in a single match, you'll receive the seventh Mega Token and can move on to the next stage.
The eighth stage is to get five kills with a single character in a single Infection: Hero match. You can choose any character that you enjoy playing and that you feel most comfortable with.
Some characters that are good for quickly racking up kills include Bangalore, with her powerful Smoke Launcher and abilities that can easily hit multiple enemies, and Octane, with his speed and mobility.
After getting five kills with a single character in a single match, you'll receive the eighth Mega Token and can quickly start another game.
Finally, the ninth and final stage is to get the Infection Gunfight Mega Token
