Viral video star and podcast host Haliey Welch, better known as the “Hawk Tuah girl,” has officially returned to the internet with a comedy skit after a months-long hiatus.

Welch, who disappeared from social media in December 2024 following accusations of rug pulling her supporters with a meme coin, is shown in her new return video to be continually waking up from nightmares about the months of rumors regarding her “disappearance.”

This includes rumors that she went to jail, that she got pregnant and that she died.

At the end of the video, which has garnered over 25,000 likes in a half-hour, Welch is woken up to her Talk Tuah podcast co-host and friend's voice telling her they “have work to do.”

Welch, who rose to fame last year from a viral video of herself giving relationship advice during a man-on-the-street segment, disappeared from the public eye shortly after launching her $HAWK meme coin.

The coin and the people who ran it came under fire for allegedly scamming Welch’s fans after it quickly crashed.

In response, Welch stopped uploading episodes of her podcast and announced a lawsuit against the team behind $HAWK. In January 2025, a podcast episode in which she talks about the incident with FaZe Banks leaked online but was never officially uploaded by Welch.

Despite leaving the internet, Welch has remained a consistent topic of discussion and memes across social media. This includes the aforementioned rumors that she squashed with her new video.

Also included are memes claiming she’s been asleep since December, which are also made fun of in the video.

At the time of publishing, a return date for Talk Tuah has not been announced, although the new video has some fans hopeful.
