Just after her cryptocurrency launched, Haliey Welch (aka "Hawk Tuah" girl) suddenly went silent on the internet.

Haliey Welch (aka "Hawk Tuah" Girl) Is Being Sued After Her Cryptocurrency Memecoin Tanked

Haliey Welch, also known as the "Hawk Tuah" girl, became a viral sensation in 2024 after her unique comments about the mythical creature sparked a wave of memes and internet buzz. Following her newfound fame, Welch launched her own podcast, Talk Tuah, and even inspired a cryptocurrency memecoin named Hawk Tuah. However, rumors began circulating in December 2024 that Welch had been arrested.

According to our findings, there is no evidence to suggest that Haliey Welch was arrested. These rumors appear to stem from the ongoing legal troubles surrounding the Hawk Tuah cryptocurrency, which Welch promoted.

As reported by Law.com, Welch and her partners in the Hawk Tuah venture are facing a lawsuit after the memecoin, which was based on Welch's famous quote and launched on Dec. 4, 2024, experienced a drastic decline in value. The complaint alleges that the defendants engaged in the unlawful promotion and sale of the Hawk Tuah cryptocurrency memecoin, also known as the '$HAWK' token, which they offered to the public without proper registration.

The memecoin reportedly lost 95 percent of its value in a single day, prompting the filing of the lawsuit in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York. The plaintiffs, who purchased the cryptocurrency, claim to have suffered substantial losses due to the defendants' alleged misconduct.

While Welch's arrest has been the subject of speculation, the available information indicates that she is currently facing legal challenges related to the failed Hawk Tuah cryptocurrency venture.
