Google launched Deep Search on the Gemini AI chatbot some time ago. Now, the Mountain View tech giant is making it available for mobile users, both on Android and iOS.
Google recently rolled out Deep Search on its Gemini AI chatbot, making it available for mobile users on both Android and iOS.
According to an announcement on X, the feature is now being deployed to a wider range of Android users. Additionally, Google is aiming to make Deep Search available to 100% of mobile users, including iOS, by the following week.
“Generate comprehensive research reports on the go, right from the Gemini Android App. Dive into anything from product recs to quantum computing, anytime, anywhere,” Google explains.
Deep Research was introduced earlier with the AI chatbot. In December 2024, Google released Deep Research for Gemini Advanced, an AI tool that automates complex research by analyzing web sources and generating comprehensive reports.
It functions similarly to ChatGPT’s Deep Research, which conducts thorough web scans on your behalf. Currently offered in the Pro tier at $200/month, OpenAI will soon expand the feature to other tiers.
In other Gemini-related news, Google has made the Gemini 2.0 Flash API generally available for customers and developers, featuring a 1M token context window, Deep Research, and upgraded Imagen 3 for image generation.
However, as Google transitions to 2.0 Flash, older models will be phased out, converging into a single Gen AI SDK for simplified development.
Meanwhile, Google’s Q4 earnings showed strong growth, driven by advertising, AI, and cloud services. YouTube ads contributed $10.47 billion to Alphabet’s total ad revenue of $72.46 billion.
